2021 - Year in Review

2021 was my first official year of selling my artwork! It was one of the best years and I had so many great opportunities come my way. Here are some of my favorite highlights from the past year.

#1) 41 Days of Art Shows
I think I am still recovering from lugging all my supplies up and down my third-story apartment and enduring the summer's heat but, surprisingly, I am counting down the days until the warm weather arrives and the art fair season begins again!

#2) 2021 ArtPrize Artist
I was an exhibiting artist at ArtPrize and showcased the originals of my Chicago Residential Architecture series downtown Grand Rapids at Oh, Hello Paper & Gifts.

ArtPrize is an open, independently organized international art competition for 18 days in the fall in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Any artist working in any medium from anywhere in the world can participate. The public decides the winners of $250,000 in prizes, including a $100,000 grand prize.

I hope to attend and exhibit at this year's #ArtPrize2022.

#3) Featured on WGN News
In September, a local news station in Chicago, WGN9 News, interviewed me for the Chicago Scene. Take a look!

#4) Extra! Extra! Read All About It!
Glen Arbor Sun
and The Betsie Current newspaper features. The newspapers I use to create my collages featured me in their newspaper.

#5) Cover Artist
I started my art journey in northern Michigan, as you may know. One of my favorite places to visit there is the Cherry Republic. They featured my artwork, "Summer is for Cherries", on the cover of their fall catalog, paired with a pop-up event at their Glen Arbor storefront this past October.

#6) One of a Kind Show Vendor & Featured Artist
In the month of December I was one of many incredible artists to exhibit at the famous OOAK Show downtown Chicago at TheMart. Read my interview here!

#7) Partnerships with the Chicago Bungalow Association and Thresholds
As small business owners, we have the opportunity to be leaders, advocates, shakers, makers, and maybe, just maybe... world changers! So, I decided to use my small platform, talent, and time to help my very own community and teamed up to give to Thresholds.

THANK YOU for an amazing first year of selling & sharing my artwork with you all!

Best,
