5 Ways to Display Artwork

Do you often see artwork but tell yourself, "I love it; I just don't have any wall space."? Well, I am here to tell you to put that nail and hammer away! Here are five ways to think outside the "walls" of hanging your artwork.

Kitchen Counter/Backsplash.
Artwork displayed on counters or open shelving is a great way to add character to your kitchen. Also, adding wood bowls and cutting boards adds interest to the display.

Utilize a Bookshelf. Spice up your bookshelf with framed prints, small plants, and sculptural pieces. It’s okay to add artistic elements on bookshelves and not just those many many books I know you read. :)

Hide those pesky TV cords. All those tangled cords you are not sure where or what are never easy to hide! Use larger-sized art to cover up chords, cable boxes, and wall outlets at floor level.

Floating Shelves. Leaning art on a floating shelf with greenery adds a nice finishing touch to any room. Add various sizes of artwork to stack and greenery too!

Make a Table Vignette.
If you have an end table, nightstand, or dresser positioned by the wall, lean artwork against it and add other meaningful items to the table. I did this in my entryway. I added a big round mirror on top of a credenza and leaned it against the wall, and stacked different sized artwork along with it.

P.S. if you want to hang artwork, I use Command Strips, and they are a lifesaver, not only for my walls but also for my patience!

Best,
