I am a Chicago-based newspaper collage artist. My artwork, constructed using exclusively upcycled newspaper—no paint or dyes, exists to tell stories and preserve memories. Inspired by summers spent in Northern Michigan, my early pieces capture favorite Leelanau County views and experiences. Today, my work has expanded to include more of the Great Lakes State, landscapes, florals, and Chicago residential architecture. Each original artwork takes a minimum of 20-30 hours to create and is made with over 100 individually hand-cut and torn pieces of newspaper. My unique medium beautifully captures places special to me and images I dream up.
